Grown on three acres of old-vine, dry-farmed vines under regenerative practices, Totally Totem represents the pinnacle of Sauvignon Blanc through the lens of the 2024 vintage. A curated blend from the finest barrels of Lail’s estate Totem Vineyard located just north of the town of Yountville, this wine embodies both crystalline purity and dynamic power. Fermented in 70% new French oak and aged sur lie for 18 months, Totally Totem is a testament to the harmony of place, vine, and vintage, producing a mesmerizing expression of Yountville’s terroir that has given birth to one of Napa Valley’s most exquisite and revered Sauvignon Blancs.

Winemaker, Lail Vineyards
Born and raised in Bordeaux, France, I attended the University of Bordeaux graudating with a degree in geology, then a Master's degree in enology and agronomy. My first winery was Chateau Haut Brion, followed by work and study in Australia, Italy, back in France (Petrus) and finally in Napa Valley (Dominus). I began consulting in 1995, and Lail Vineyards was one of my first projects.
