- Sourced from Viader Vineyard, a picturesque location within the newly designated Crystal Springs AVA, this vineyard boasts a west-facing, steep rocky mountainside with grades of up to 34% and rich red volcanic soils.
- Barrel aging in custom new French oak is projected for 19-20 months. We traveled to France to handpick rare ultra-fine grain staves and create a bespoke toasting protocol. This meticulous process enhances mouthfeel and accentuates the unique flavor nuances and style of the wines crafted from our select small family vineyards. Each step reflects our commitment to quality and showcases the exceptional character of our Cabernet Franc.

Sourced from the steep, west-facing slopes of the Viader Vineyard in the newly designated Crystal Springs AVA, this single-barrel masterpiece captures the heartbeat of its rugged volcanic terroir. Crafted from Entav clones 327 and 623, and co-fermented for depth and balance, the wine is aged for 19–20 months in bespoke French oak barrels that were hand selected in France from ultra-fine-grained staves. This one-of-a-kind lot defines perfection in every detail—a timeless, cellar-worthy expression of Cabernet Franc at its absolute peak.

My interest in wine can be traced back to when I was a young man. My dad and I would spend countless hours talking about life and drinking wine together, including a 1963 Dow Port that we shared many years ago.
While attending Texas Tech University, I worked at, and later managed, several wine stores where I learned about fine wine from the stores’ purveyors. In 1996, a close friend who owned a Chateau in Bordeaux invited me to move there and help manage his estate. I sold everything I owned and bought a one-way ticket to France.
To learn more formally about winemaking, I attended the University of Bordeaux. I paid my way through school by working at several small Chateaus in Bordeaux and working harvest in Burgundy. In 1998, I landed in Napa, where I immersed myself in the process of making wine for small production wineries in the valley.
Since 2001, I have crafted wines from grapes I source from extraordinary vineyard sites. I work with the growers throughout the year to ensure the best quality grapes possible and take a minimalistic approach during winemaking. I am currently the winemaker for 7 wineries in multiple states and locations. Bill and I had been talking about creating a wine … and a brand … that would represent the finest wine we could make and highlight the smaller, family-owned vineyards that put Napa Valley on the map.
I feel truly blessed that the pieces came together to work on this passion collaboration with my long-time friend. We invite you to pour a glass of B True and toast to your family and friends, all the while creating memories to last a lifetime.
